We are seeking a motivated and friendly Shopkeeper to join our team and help us continue delivering outstanding experiences to our customers.

Job Overview: As a Shopkeeper in our floral shop, you will be the face of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, assisting customers, and ensuring a welcoming and organized shopping environment. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our store’s reputation for quality service and beautiful floral arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with a friendly attitude, answer inquiries, and provide information about flowers, arrangements, and delivery services. Offer personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.

  • Sales: Process transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system, handle cash and credit card payments, and issue receipts. Promote and upsell additional products such as vases, cards, and gift items.

  • Floral Arrangements: Assist with the creation of floral arrangements and bouquets. Follow design guidelines and ensure that arrangements are prepared to the highest standards.

  • Inventory Management: Processing flowers, Monitor stock levels of flowers, supplies, and other products. Restock shelves, manage inventory records.

  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times. This includes tidying up floral display areas, cleaning surfaces, and managing the presentation of floral arrangements.

  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about different types of flowers, their care requirements, and seasonal availability. Provide customers with accurate information and advice.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally. Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any concerns with empathy and efficiency.

  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in floral, customer service, or retail is preferred. Training on floral arrangement techniques will be provided but you should have a strong understanding of floral design and floral materials. 

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic math skills, and proficiency with cash handling and point-of-sale systems. Ability to work with flowers and maintain their quality.

  • Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused with a positive attitude. Creative flair and attention to detail are mandatory. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts, 1 weekend day or as needed for special events and floral holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity. Handling flowers and arrangements may involve bending and reaching.
